My Poetry

This term we had a poetry slide that we had to complete.
each week we had a different type of poetry that we had to do.
Because it is the end of term we have to post it on our blog.
So here mine is.

My Newspaper

For the past four weeks we have been learning how to right newspapers.

Then last week and the start of this week we had the task to write our own newspaper.

I ended up getting mine finished but some people didn't.

In the newspaper we had to have a few thing.

• A ad that we made ourselves
• two articles about whatever we wanted
• A small article about the writer ( I couldn't fit that in)
• We had to have two pages exactly
• front cover

I am really proud of my newspaper because i think it looks really good so here it is.

My Newspaper Report

For the past two weeks we have been learning how to make a newspaper.
Then This week we got the task of writing our own newspaper.
We had to do a couple of things we had to:

• Have a picture
• Have a caption for the picture
• Two pages
• A headline
• A main story
• Capital letters and full stops
• A good layout

I haven't finished editing my story yet but I am writing this blog post to ask for feedback on:

• Does it look like a blog post?
• are there any parts that don't make sense?
• Did I use the right punctuation?
• Is it a long enough story or it is to short?
• Does the front page have a good layout?
• Does it need more information?

Please leave me a comment saying what you think.

Maths Work!

At the start of this week we were doing Fractions, Decimals and Percentages for maths. What that means is that we learnt how to convert one to the other this is the diagram we used.

We used this diagram to do the problems that the teacher gave us.

Then this Friday we had to do a blog post on what maths we had learned this week and i decided to do a video on how to convert some equations. So here it is.

Posted!

For the past 2 month or so we have been reading a book called Posted.
With every book that we read as a class the teacher sets up slides of work we have to do.

I am really enjoying the book.
The book is about a school called Branton Middle School and at there school phones get banned.
The main character is called Frost (eric) And he has this friend group that includes him and three other boys called DD, Bench and wolf.
What happens is when the phones get banned they start to use sticky notes as a way to communicate. Then this new girl called Rose Holland comes to there school and bench doesn't like her so Bench starts to separate from the friend group then Rose and Wolf start to hang out quite a lot.

At Branton Middle School in there town that have this thing called the Gauntlet Where its this massive hill and you have to get dared to do it and if you dont you are "chicken" and this boy called Evan Smalls.
On the slides of work we had to do there was an interview option where you could go and make  video of evn on a show being interviewed so me and my friend Ariana decided to do it and here is the video.

Art Work

This week the year five and sixes are on camp so we had a reliever teacher called Miss Stratton she brang this really cool idea for art. the type of art that we did was called pop art.

we looked t all different types of artists but the main one we looked at was  Roy Lichtensteina because he had a big influence in the pop art movement.

we had to do a few slides that Miss Stratton had set up and then we had to create our own pop art and here is mine.

and this is my slides

Digi Awards

This week we started on making our Digi Awards.Me and my friend Ariana decided to make a google site. It was actually quite tricky because we had to try and figure out how to make  a photo also have a link when you click on to it. We eventually found out how to do it and now it looks really good. I decided to make a short screencastify on how to  make a photo into a link.
