Christchurch City

Hey bloggers!

Today for the summer learning journey my second task was to right about my hometown.
My hometown is christchurch city.

Christchurch is one of the three biggest citys in New Zealand along sidee Wellington and with Auckland being the biggest.

I am so happy to call christchurch my home because there are so many different and cool things to do here. We also have so many great playgrounds, beaches and a great museum with many different historic things in it.

  1. Hi Grace!

Me again! :) Christchurch sounds like a lovely place to live. I've never been myself but reading your post has definitely made me want to visit. What is your absolute favourite thing to do there? I live in Auckland now but I come from a small town in the north of the North Island called Kororāreka (Russell). I loved growing up there because we lived super close to the beach. Kororāreka has lots of historical landmarks and buildings too, which people from all over the world come to see. Do lots of people visit your city too? Can you tell me about the pictures that you've included in your post?

Another great post, Grace. Keep up the amazing work.

    1. Hi Mikey,
thank you for commenting on my blog I really apreciate it. My absoloute favourite thing to do in christchurch is go to all the different parks with my family. what is your favourite thing to do in auckland?

lots of people do infact come to christchurch (like lots). lots of tourists come to see all of the old buildings and places in town that have been knocked down because of the big earthquakes.

The first phtoto is of the christchurch museum which is a big museum of all different historic moments in NZ. My favourite part of it is at the start of the museum there is a tunnel where you can go and see these old aniamls that are now extinct but at the end there is a slide and I remember when I was little I was really scared of going in there because it was dark and my older sister would always try and scare me. but now I dont mind it.

The second photo is of the mahgret mahey playground which is named after the great kiwi author Mahgret Mahey. this is one of my favourite playgrounds ever. My favourite part is the big slide which yo can see to the right of the photo it is so fun and really fun to go to at night when it is dark.

      Yours Sincerely,
      Grace

    2. Mōrena Grace,

      Happy New Year! :)

That sounds like a lovely way to spend your time. There are a couple of parks near my house too. One of them is home to hundreds of cows and sheep! Are there any animals at the parks you visit? I really like being outside so going on big walks around Auckland and hanging out at the beach are probably my favourite things to do. Especially at the moment, while the weathers so nice.

Wow. They both sound like great places to visit. I really do need to get myself to Christchurch, don't I :)

      Talk soon,

      Mikey

  2. Hey Grace, its me Parwin!
I really like your blog post because you have added facts about Christchurch and you have also added photos and where you found them. This reminded me of when I did that but I had trouble presenting it because I wanted to present in a creative way which is why it took me long to finish it. I think that you did a great blog post and you could improve it by maybe presenting it in a creative way but you don't have to because you have done a great blog post!

Looking forward to your next blog post,
    Parwin
